2006 CERT Training Participants

WHAT IS C.E.R.T??
Community Emergency Response Team

CERT educates individuals about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT Basic Training Participant Manual is meant for use by students in CERT classes. The Hazard Annex, which provides an overview of 13 natural and manmade disaster types, is also available here. Each unit from the Participant Manual and Hazard Annex is also available in a Microsoft Word format.

Several residents from the Sedalia Community participated in the first CERT training and received certification in 2006. There was a CERT Fire Extinguisher Refresher Course in 2012 and a Medical Unit Refresher in 2014. There are plans for the next refresher course to be held in May, 2017.
